SYMPOSIUM – Classy Brunch
Building a Brunch Category, Not Just a Restaurant Identity
When Symposium approached MIKEADV CORP, the goal was never to create just another restaurant brand. The vision was bolder: to challenge the way people think about brunch entirely. Instead of the typical overloaded menu and generic "something-for-everyone" approach, Symposium introduces a refined new system built around three clear categories — Meat. Fish. Sweets. — that simplify choice, elevate perception, and create a brand concept people remember after one visit.
The challenge MIKEADV took on was to develop the brand from the ground up and build the content ecosystem that would launch it with authority. From day one, the goal was not to make another restaurant identity. The goal was to build a brunch category with rules — a brand that feels intentional, confident, and differentiated even before the first plate hits the table.
The core brand idea was simple: brunch can be elevated without being complicated. The "Classy Brunch" positioning isn't a tagline thrown on top — it's the foundation of the entire experience. The classification framework of Meat / Fish / Sweets becomes the brand's organizing principle, shaping language, visuals, menu logic, and content structure. It creates clarity for the customer and gives the brand a unique voice that lives across social, web, print, and in-store touchpoints.
The identity was designed to feel modern, upscale, and editorial — built for high-end presentation while remaining approachable. Typography, spacing, and composition communicate restraint and confidence at every scale. The result is a complete brand and content system that makes Symposium feel like something more than a brunch spot — a concept with gravity, a signature framework, and a visual presence designed to compete at the highest level.
